Bridal french nails

I really don't know how I should name my post title anymore... my energy is running all time low these days and my lower back pain is not helping!! ARGH!!

Anyway! I did this over the weekend and I really love the layered flowers (pink w a tinge of peach) I did for this bride.


It's actually really simple, but it's so pretty!


This is a set of gel tips extension, the white french part is sculptured using white gel.

Day 48

Today's post HAD to be quick, I barely made it in the door last night after my flight before I passed out from exhaustion, so I did my nails this morning, instead of last night, as is my custom. I got my Essie Mint Candy Apple in the mail over the weekend, and of course, HAD to use it, its GORGEOUS! I smudged my thumb when I was using the Konad stamper thing, but didnt have time to fix it, sorry! :(



I used Essie Mint Candy Apple as a base, with Nubar Milk Chocolate Creme over that with Konad Plate m60 for the argyle pattern. Konad plates are great when you're in a hurry, but still want a cool looking nail design, I love em, but wish they'd expand the line some.

Did everyone have a great weekend? I did! But now it's back to the daily grind! :)

Guest Nails!

Hi everyone! Today I am not featuring my nails, but the nails of one of my really good friends at university. She is one of my best friends, she is studying the same subject as me and we have a lot of classes together.

She ALWAYS compliments me on my nails, and she asked me to do her nails for her, and I jumped for joy at the opportunity! She never wears nail polish, so she wanted to choose something simple. She went for OPI Kreme de la Kremlin, but I talked her into adding a little glitter (Sinful Colors UFO) and matte top coat (Essie). She wore this mani for a week and loved it! Isn't she a great hand model?

Complice qualcuna di voi che ha iniziato a mettermi il pallino per gli smalti sul nostro forum, ho finito per comprare un po' di prodotti di questa bellissima linea natalizia .

Come sapete i prezzi di Kiko non sono molto alti anche se per le limited edition dobbiamo spendere qualcosina in più ma veniamo agli swatch dei prodotti.

Ed eccoci con gli swatch di questi prodotti:

I lipgloss (costo 7,20 euro )

Sono lipgloss olografici quindi non vi dico la fatica che ho fatto per fotografarli...

Alla fine ho deciso di mettervi due foto: una con luce al neon (quella che vedete qui) e una con luce alogena quella segue subito dopo.

Il primo da sinistra e' lo Space Reflection n°02 ...base beige ma che vira al rosa arancio, e' una colorazione incredibile e allo stesso tempo delicata perche' resta chiara.
Un po' pastoso da stendere ma vale la pena dati gli effetti speciali che dona alle vostre labbra...
I veri colori di questo lipgloss si vedono meglio nella seconda foto.

Il secondo da sinistra e' il Venus Fucsia n°01 , base rosa con glitter rosa e lilla....STUPENDO!
Si stende benissimo e dona un bellissimo colorito alle labbra.

I glitter contenuti in questo lucidalabbra richiamano quelli dello smalto Costellation purple n° 278

Un viola scuro tempestato di microglitter rosa e un rosa chiaro leggermente tendente al lilla.
Abbinata stupenda e super scrivente!
Ecco lo swatch eseguito con luce artificale alogena.
Vi dico subito che non rende giustizia ai colori che sono molto più vivaci e glitterati specialmente il rosa chiaro che e' perfettamente coprente a dispetto di quello che sembra in questa foto.


Avrei preso anche gli altri ma il budget non ha permesso.
Assolutamente stupendo e' anche lo "Starry Malachite" un mix di blue e oro...bellissimo!!

Quelle che vedete sono 2 passate di smalto e 1 di top coat Seche Vite.

Assolutamente più fucsia che rosso! Ho fatto molte foto ma non sono riuscita a cogliere il tono di rosso giusto!
Da vedere dal vivo perche' conquista!
E' pieno zeppo di microglitter rosa che non creano problemi al momento di rimuoverlo.
Per la durata vi farò sapere...

Quelle che vedete sono 2 passate di smalto e 1 di top coat Seche Vite.
Foto scattata con luce alogena artificiale.

Rispetto alla foto e' molto più presente il riflesso lilla dei microglitter in sospensione.

Un po' meno fluido del precedente alla prima passata potreste non riuscire a coprire bene tutta l'unghia ma dalla seconda nessun problema.

Che dire e' un colore bellissimo un punto di viola assolutamente profondo e sorprendente grazie ai glitter lilla rosati che gli danno tantissima luce.

E con questo ho concluso gli swatch dei prodotti acquistati per questa collezione!

Che ve ne pare?

Io la trovo stupenda per le feste e devo dire che ultimamente mi sembra di vedere in giro molto più viola anche per il Natale quando di solito il colore che la fà da padrone in questi periodi e' sempre il rosso...

Nail Art: Purple French

Hello everyone! Today's mani is actually from ealier this month, it got backlogged. I really like it though, I will probably sport this again at some point, after all who can deny metallics and glitter?. I got gobs of compliments on it, people thought that it was really classy in comparison to the obnoxious nails that I usually sport lol!

I used OPI Done Out in Deco for the base color, China Glaze Harmony for the tips, and Art Deco Silver Glitter as the glitter stripe. Do you love it too?

Hhahahaha Goonies Quote FTW. One of the best movies of all time. Anyway, to the nails. Today's nails were an idea emailed to me by reader Lauren, who was inspired after seeing my sugar-coated nails. I totally LOVED the idea- Chocolate covered nails 'dipped' in non-pareils to make a french tip of sorts. Plus, it is simple, so anyone could do this idea, I really love it.



I used Nubar Milk Chocolate Creme as a base, and for the non-pareils, I used Migi Nail Art Pens. Hmm, I wonder if I could've just used real non-pareils, and simply covered them with Seche Vite top coat. Interesting. I might try that and get back to you.

Today's nails are nautical themed, seeing as I'm on the United State's '3rd coast', well, part of it, I grew up about 4 miles from Lake Huron, which is one of the Great Lakes, aka the Third Coast... :)



I used Pure Ice 611 Platinum as a base, with Sally Girl Mean Streak (dk blue), which isn't listed on their site, for the stripes, China Glaze 2030 from Khrome Collection for the anchor, Zoya Dakota to outline the anchor, and Nubar Milk Chocolate Creme mixed with China Glaze White on White for the rope 'moonicure' part.

Get naughty, people! :)

Wet 'n Wild Craze Nocturnal

Hola everyone! Today's post is a swatch/review of the Wet 'n Wild Craze polish in Nocturnal. Yes, I know that I am way late on the whole bandwagon over this line, but in my defense I did not see these until last month.

This is a strange color; I was expecting a dark violet and I got an almost black blurple. Of course purples are impossible to photograph so it looks pitch black.

I like it, but I am not loving it. The cap make polish application a little tough, but it dried pretty fast and applied well in 2-3 coats. If you have this polish, did you feel similarly about it?

Day 45

Hey all!! Well, I'm fully exhausted after a 5 am wake-up, hr drive to the nearest big city (I'm in Michigan right now), and then a few hrs in line, and I came out ahead, I saved $160 on 4 items. All in all, it was worth it, because I think I kind of sickly enjoy the rush of Black Friday! Today's nails are an homage to the fight & rush of getting that deal. Hopefully, your only damage is as bad as mine... a broken nail. :-P (I even left it for effect!) They are all the $$$ I went to save, and the blood I made others shed (not really) so I could get those deals. (I'm REALLY joking, everyone was rather peaceful where I was this year. SLOW, but peaceful.)



I used a franken for the base, which I made from a $1 bottle of white nail polish NYC I think? and about 15 drops of Zoya Envy, and then Zoya Envy for all the lines and tips. For the simulated blood, I used Zoya Dakota, and for the broken nail (chunk out of my pinky) I used a dropping box that I tried to catch in vain.

KOTD: Falling into Winter

Hi everyone, I hope that you had a great Thanksgiving! Today I bring you another Thanksgiving themed mani, and I quite like how this turned out!

I used OPI You Don't Know Jacques, OPI Brights Power, and Sinful Colors Canary Yellow. I also used the m20 plate with China Glaze Twenty-Four K for the leaves. :)

NEW! Gel flowers inlay

Remember the dried flowers inlay nails craze? Now the Japanese has come up with something better, dried flowers stickers that look almost exactly like dried flowers!! The only difference is - it's better! Colours are more vibrant and they won't turn yellow. :)

Here's one set of sample I did in gel.


Glittery peach pink with round pink & gold glitter flakes. It looks really pretty in real... too bad the colors don't show up well here.


See!! I told you it looks so real! Anyone wants to do this?? :)
